Dr. Jocelyn Thurm grew up in the SF Bay Area. She attended the University of California, Santa Cruz and graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a BS in biology. She worked as a small animal veterinary technician for the next two years while at the same time riding along with a horse veterinarian on a weekly basis. She graduated from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. Dr Thurm worked steadily as a small animal veterinarian for the next several years. A year after her third child was born she decided to take a break from work so she could be home with her young children and also help take care of her terminally ill mother. During this time she started her own home based business designing and selling sewing patterns for children’s clothing. She joined the Providence family in 2017.
Dr. Thurm enjoys sewing, crafting, reading, traveling, and spending time with her 3 kids and husband.
