Dr. Alex Herman received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Minnesota, her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis, and graduated from the Veterinary Management Institute at Colorado State University.
Prior to joining Providence, she worked for decades for Oakland Zoo’s Veterinary Services, and for All Pets Hospital in San Francisco, providing medical, surgical, and dental services to both wildlife and beloved family companions. Her professional goals include providing intentional, effective, high impact, evidence-based veterinary care for our Bay Area community. She believes that most challenges can be solved with kindness, great communication and a dedicated group, so is especially excited to serve with the team at Providence Veterinary Hospital & Clinic.
Dr. Herman lives in Berkeley with her husband and son, and loves hiking, gardening and art.
